Skating, Biking, and running

ever since my run i haven't planned or done any charity rides or fundraisers... but i am thinking of doing a few small fundraisers this summer... maybe a carwash and who knows maybe ill ride somewhere or run somewhere

ill go where my heart takes me

i had a successful skating season, taking third in my age class at the U.S. junior speedskating championships

i love following TEAM HIGHROAD COLUMBIA and i hope they have a very successful season as well

i will start to blog again with my thoughts of raising more money

i plan on riding coast to coast in 2 years...

HOME SWEET HOME

yesterday was the last day and it went really good

70 miles

70 miles until i could finally be around the place i love

i had a few supporters on the road

the Piens were waiting in patterson with a big GO CHRIS sign

and then i stopped at red rooster drank a milkshake then started riding again

when i got into familiar scenes i was so overwhelmed with happiness i smiled the rest of the way

i got to the bottom of the hill then my boy DAN was waiting with a big C painted on his chest

i was so happy to be home
but i still ride all the time

check out this article Chrissy wrote about me!

haulin' on home day 5 & 6

day 5 (yesterday, recovery)

i was still a little traumatized from the crash the day before... so i took it easy and a wise cyclist told me to do only 25-50 miles so thats exactly what i did... around 35 miles...

day 6 (gloomy lone wolf)

after a bad night of sleep due to a horrific thunderstorm the night before .. me being in a tent was not so sleep friendly
i got up tired as a bear in hibernation

i was out on the road riding alone with justin and mom stopping ahead every 2-3 miles
i got on my bike and the skies were so dark

i was feeling great averaging 18 mph the whole way
i got through 60 miles by eating , eating e gels, drinking e fuel and water, and commentating my own tour de france with team columbia domanating... pretending like i was my favorite and desire to meet BIG GEORGE HINCAPIE

when i had 14 miles to go i had to climb a wall for 10 miles and then decend 4 miles

i did 74 miles in 4 hours and it felt great!

haulin' on home DAY 4 (day at the hospital)

today we were riding to rochester from niagara falls... we were riding for only 2 miles when we came to some railroad tracks that were passing over diagonally and we went to cross them, my mom in front... me right behind

the first rail we got over fine and then i got this weird gut feeling and then the chills... then next thing i know my mom went down and my tire went into her and i flipped over my handle bars i got up right away and looked down at my mom and saw her laying down at the concrete and i got so scared that i let out a yelp and then a tear... i ran over to my bike and called my dad who was in the car a few miles up the road... they came back and got all of our road rash cleaned up... i seriously thought my mom was really injured for that slight second... i got back on the bike to see if i can continue the ride but i was in so much pain in my shoulder and up my leg that i just stopped

my mom hit her head and was feeling woozy so we went to the hospital

every thing is fine with both of us
jsut some bumps and bruises and i got an awesome lunch there

i hope to get up and ride tommorow
